Look Cute While You Sweat

But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart. I Samuel 16:7

New discovery: what you wear when you exercise really does make a difference.

I’ve read in various magazines that buying a new item of clothing to workout in will help to motivate you to move your booty. I guess I always thought in terms of a t-shirt, because I didn’t think there were many choices for plus-size fluffies. But alas, I found a couple cute tank tops and capri pants and a change has occurred.

Tank tops are nice because I’m seeing progress in my arms. Hey, I’m working hard on them, and I like the progress, so why not get a good view to keep me inspired?
So it’s been a bit more than a month in my new gear. Today I stood in front of my closet looking for something to wear to the gym, and I was surprised that I turned my nose up at my stack of old faithful tees.

I guess I kinda feel like, hey, I’m 41 now. Time to put a little extra “oomph” into myself. So plus-size workout clothing isn’t easy to find – I’m worth the extra effort to invest in myself.

I know that looks are not important in the big scheme of things. I am eating better and increasing my activity solely to “look good,” but to live a quality life. I am thankful that the Lord sees our hearts, and does not judge us on our weight, our clothing, or our hair. Our hearts are most important to Him.
